Bernard is a nice squirrel who has very nice family, friends, and always a new adventure. This time, Bernard was excited. He was going on a road trip! Hey buddy! I have good news! What is it daddy? It’s the summer and I am so bored. Well, that’s gonna change because we are going on a road trip! Oh hooray daddy, hooray!!!! When are we leaving? Two days from now buddy! So get packing! Okay dad! The squirrel family got ready and hit the road…All right! Let’s hit the road mommy and daddy! Woohoo!!! All right guys, this is no ordinary road trip, it’s gonna be a road trip across the whole country! From Squirrel Angeles to  New Squirrel, the big acorn! And our first stop along the way is Las Cruces, New Mexico! While they drove there, they sang songs, played games, and admired the beautiful scenery. And by dusk after 9 hours of driving, they arrived and stopped for the night and went to the acorn motel….Goodnight daddy and mommy…..Rise and shine buddy! Time to hit the road! All right mommy and daddy! They brush, pack again, and start their driving….most of the way, they had zero trouble, but in the end, there was a little trouble….Pffft!!!! Pop!!! Oh no! What happened? Why are we slowing down? Oh no mommy, the tire burst! Pffft!!! Pop!! Another tire burst! What will we do? Our phone is working though buddy, so let’s call a tow truck! In the middle of the night somewhere in the desert? How will they find us daddy? Good point. Hey! I got an idea!...What is it buddy? There are so many cacti here that are full of water, so if we take the water from the cacti and pump it into the tires, maybe it can drive! They cut up the cacti and pumped the water of 3 table sized cacti. They filled the tires up, and it worked! Now let’s drive to the nearest motel and rest for the night…..All right! Our final leg of the journey, from squirrel-chicago to the new squirrel, the big acorn. They arrived safely, and the journey back home went like clockwork. When they arrived, they all sighed, got into bed, and dreamed of their next adventure.
